What is Start-up Visa of Japan

This visa is for the preparation period for registering a company when doing business in Japan. During this period, you will be ready to set up an office, open a Bank of Japan business account, and register your company. This visa is valid only when doing business in a specific region of Japan.

There is a Business Manager Visa in Japan. However when applying for a visa, have an office, invest at least 5 million yen and employ at least two people full-time is required. In other words, it was difficult to start a new business without Japanese business partner. Therefore, in order to encourage business in Japan, a special Start-up Visa is given only when doing business in a specific region.

Please note that you cannot get a Start-up Visa after registering a corporation in Japan.
